Mistletoe State Park Trail Update!

Park Rangers were able to finish clearing Hurricane Helene debris from the back half of the Rock Dam Trail today.

Backcountry site B has also been cleared and will be available to be rented again soon.

We could not have done this without the hard work from our local CSRA SORBA group, as well as our maintenance team and rangers at the park.

Come join us Halloween for some fall fun. Starting at 11 AM - 12:30 PM we will host our “Fall Blast” program. This program participants will dip candles with candy corn colors, make a corn husk scarecrow, go on a scarecrow & pumpkin trivia hunt and enjoy a hayride. Space is limited make your reservation today

From 1:30 PM- 3 PM is our “Kids Autumn Fest”. Kids will make masks, scarecrow trick-or-treat, play games, enjoy a story and go on a hayride. Reserve your spot today.

In the evening we will host a “Sunset Hike”and finish with “Glow In The Dark Bingo”.

Georgia DNR, USACE, and GFC are coordinating on a prescribed burn at Mistletoe State Park today. Over 640 acres are being burned, with a large portion being done by drone.

This burn will clear the way for our Longleaf Pine restoration project, as well as removing fuel loads, and enhancing the health of our forest.

LAST CALL RUNNERS

This is your final chance to join us for the Mistletoe State Park 5K this Saturday. The first 50 runners will receive a t-shirt and an entry into our free two night campsite rental raffle.

Register by calling the front office or scanning the QR codes on our pinned post. Registration closes Friday at 5 PM, so make sure you sign up before then. Once registration closes we will not be able to accept any more runners.

Also on Saturday we are hosting an archery program at 10:30 am. This program is for ages 8 and older and will teach beginner archery. This program is 10.00 per person and spaces are limited so make sure to sign up early!

Parking passes are required for both of these programs and if you want to sign up give us a call at 706-541-0321.
