Every guest who arrives at Hotel Phoenix is welcomed from above. The sculpture suspended over our grand staircase is by Dutch artist Peter Gentenaar, and its colors are drawn from Atlanta's fall foliage. It's a fitting welcome at Mile Zero, where Atlanta itself began.

The piece is part of a larger collection: throughout the hotel, more than 20 works by Atlanta-based and national artists reflect the themes Hotel Phoenix was built on: Southern hospitality, the romance of the rail, and Atlanta's verdant canopy of trees. If you find yourself downtown this fall, we invite you to stop by the lobby and experience it in person.
