Doris Beach, 89, a life long supporter of Park of the Pines, passed at home surrounded by family on May 26,2026. Doris was a familiar face around the grounds from cooking for camps and reunions to counseling at camps, to sitting in the camps store selling homemade items to benefit the Park. She rarely missed a reunion and her greatest joy was seeing that her love for the Park and her legacy will be passed down through her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her presence will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life has been planned for Doris on Sunday, June 28th, at 2:00 p.m. at Park of the Pines. All are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers it was Doris’ desire that donations be made to Park of the Pines. A fund has been established in her honor for this purpose. Donations can be sent to:

Well, we were certainly blessed with a beautiful day for our Easter Egg Hunt Event at Park of the Pines this past Saturday!
The kids (and maybe some adults) had loads of eggs and also painted some!
See you next year.

Registration is now open for all Community of Christ sponsored summer camps at Park of the Pines including youth and family camps. View the camp schedule, details, and registration at www.michiganyouthcamps.org, deadline is June 1 for most camps.

Never sent your kid to camp before? We know it can be hard! Our staff and directors are extensively trained and receive background checks. All of our campgrounds and youth camps are licensed and receive inspections from the State of Michigan. You can learn more about us at www.cofchristmi.org and www.michiganyouthcamps.org.

Are you interested in staffing a youth camp? We are especially in need of male staff and camp nurses for the 2026 camp season. Please contact [email protected] to learn about the process of becoming registered to work within our youth camping program.

Are you a summer camp alumni? Consider making a donation to our camping program and help provide the life-changing experience for others. About $25 a month sponsors a new camper at a junior camp. Learn more about helping to fund youth camps at: https://michiganyouthcamps.org/donate/

We can't wait to spend the summer with you!
