The 579 from Warm Lake to our lodge is NOW OPEN! It is cut open well and the Deadwood Summit is passable. See you soon! :)

The lodge is OPEN and we would love to see you! The Bear Valley road (FS 579) is cut open all the way to our lodge. We will be continuing to cut open more in the next few weeks. The Deadwood Summit is still blocked with a minimum of one foot of snow. The maximum amount is unknown.

For those of you that have been asking about the roads, here's a little update. We attempted to drive in by vehicle via Bear Valley Rd (FS 579) north of Banners Summit this past Sunday. It quickly turned into 2-3 feet of snow (see below photo). We also attempted to get in via FS 582 out of Lowman. We made it a few miles in and about 1,000 feet short of the Clear Creek Pass (ran into about 3-4 feet of snow). We did not attempt the FS 579 because the Deadwood Summit snow station is reporting 88 inches as of today.

The lodge is still closed and we will be attempting another entry in the middle/end of next week!
