What an Incredible First Trout Derby! 🎣

We want to extend a huge congratulations to our Adult Division and Youth Division Trout Derby winners! Your catches made our very first derby one to remember! 🏆🐟

A special thank you to you Cassville Trout Fest and Roaring River State Park for partnering with us and helping make this event possible. We also appreciate Mayor Jon Horner for joining us for the ceremonial coin flip, and Mark Chapman for providing great music and entertainment through the rainy weather!

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out. Despite the rain, you showed up, made room for one another under the tent, cheered on the anglers, and helped create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Seeing everyone come together and make the best of the weather was truly something special!

We're incredibly grateful for how well our first Trout Derby turned out, and we're already looking forward to making it even bigger and better next year. Thank you to everyone for being apart of it! We can't wait to see you all again! 🎣❤️☔️🐟

🎣🐟 Cassville Trout Fest Weekend is Here! 🐟🎣

Join us this weekend as we celebrate Cassville Trout Fest and Free Fishing Weekend with a full day of fishing, family fun, live music, and great food!

We are proud to partner with the Cassville Trout Fest and Roaring River State Park for the Trout Fest Tagged Trout Derby taking place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 as an extension to all the fun!

Anglers should keep an eye out for trout with a red tag attached. If you catch a tagged trout, bring it directly to the weigh station located next to the Show Mobile to be officially entered into the derby.

📢 Derby Guidelines:
• Derby fishing hours are 6:30 a.m. to noon
• Tagged trout must be brought directly to the weigh station next to the Show Mobile
• Only trout with an official red tag qualify
• Winners announced at 1:00 p.m.
• No registration fee required
• Event held during Free Fishing Weekend

🏆 Prize Categories:
• Adult Division
• Youth Division
• Social Media Catch Prize (Post your catch and tag Roaring River Adventures, Roaring River State Park, and Cassville Trout Fest)
• Bonus Drawing for all anglers who catch a tagged trout

At 1:00 p.m., during the concert, the Mayor of Cassville will flip a coin for each division to determine whether the winning fish will be the largest or the smallest tagged trout entered!

🎶 Live Music
Enjoy live music from the Mark Chapman Band from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. while you wait for the winners to be announced on Saturday!

🍔 Concessions Available
We'll be serving concessions from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so come hungry and grab a bite while enjoying the festivities!

🪑 Don't forget to bring your lawn chair and settle in for an afternoon of live music, great food, and the award announcements!

🎉 And don't forget to head into Cassville and enjoy all the fun happening uphill during Trout Fest! The community will be buzzing with activities including free admission to the Cassville Aquatic Center, a pickleball tournament, city-wide yard sales, shopping, food, and more. There's plenty to see and do throughout town, making this the perfect opportunity to spend the entire day celebrating Trout Fest! We can't wait to see everyone!

Share your favorite photos from the Cassville Trout Fest Music & Fireworks Show, Roaring River Ruckus Pickleball Tournament or Fishing Weekend at Roaring River State Park in the comments of this post, and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a Camp Snap Camera and a $20 gift card to Sunshine Coffeehouse.

Photos can include concert moments, fireworks, fishing, pickleball, family fun, tagged trout, Roaring River memories or anything that captures your weekend in Cassville.

The winner will be announced Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Roaring River Adventures Concert and Concessions. You do not have to be present to win. We will ship the prize if needed.

We’ve only had a couple of lunkers officially checked in at the Park Store this week, but we have a feeling there are plenty more stories to be told on the water! 👀

Congratulations to this week’s anglers for landing some impressive trout and stopping by to have them weighed.
