It was a beautiful sunrise today on the lake!
We've had a little cooler weather after that heat wave last week, but that heat wave did nicely to help warm up the lake and get it ready for all sorts of summer fun!

Takundewide is about eight miles from the Lake George Village.

Every summer at Takundewide, fishing enthusiasts arrive with the same goal:

To catch Walter.

Generations have cast lines from the dock, trolled the shoreline, and swapped stories about the one that got away—all hoping for their chance to catch Walter.

Last night, during one of those perfect Lake George evenings, another fisherman joined the club. As the golden hour faded into sunset, Walter finally took the bait.

The smile says it all.

Years from now, he may not remember exactly how big the fish was. But he'll remember the sunset, the excitement, and the moment he caught Walter at Takundewide.

Some traditions never get old.

As the sun slipped behind the Adirondack peaks, the sky exploded with shades of gold, crimson, and violet, reflecting across the calm waters like a living painting.
