The best kind of friendships are the ones made on a wooden dock, sealed with wet footprints and sunscreen. ☀️As the suitcases get packed and the school buses start to roll, we are looking at this happy group and remembering all the wonderful, sunburned days spent splashing in the water together. There is a beautiful, lifelong bond between summer friends who grow up together on the shores of Lake George.The docks might get a little quieter this week, but the memories made at Takundewide Cottages this year will keep everyone warm all winter long. After a sun-drenched summer day, there is nothing quite like a night swim to wash away the heat before bedtime. Wrapped in a warm towel, she crawls into bed with sandy feet and tired eyes. The window is cracked just enough to let in the breeze and the rhythmic sounds of water lapping against the shore and swaying sailboats clinking on Lake George.
