Today we’re celebrating four years as the owners & caretakers of Bear Inn.
When we purchased the inn in 2022, we knew we weren’t starting something new, we were becoming part of a story that had already been unfolding for years. Long before we arrived, the Bear Inn was a place filled with memories, friendships, celebrations, & good times & we’re grateful to everyone who helped build that.
These past four years have brought moments of great joy & moments that tested us. We’ve learned that owning an inn isn’t easy or for the faint of heart, but we’ve also learned that it can be extremely rewarding & fulfilling to serve others! We’ve made some mistakes along the way, learned lessons we didn’t expect & faced challenges that we couldn’t have predicted.
Together, we’ve weathered a tornado, ice storms & rising waters. We’ve had countless unexpected repairs, mounds of laundry, frozen pipes, internet problems & all the other ups & downs that come with caring for a place like this.
Through it all, God has been faithful.
We’ve been blessed by the guests who have become friends, the neighbors who have shown up when we needed them & the community that continues to be more like family with each passing year!
As we look back on four years, our hearts are full of gratitude, not only for what we’ve accomplished, but for the privilege of being a part of this incredible community & the ongoing story of Bear Inn.
