June is one of the best times to be on the Tennessee River — green, calm, warm evenings, fire going by dark. We have one waterfront site open this summer, and the wooded sites have some rare availability opening up too.

We have availability opening up at Hidden Oasis on both sides of the property this summer. One waterfront/cove site for weekend stays or a seasonal arrangement. And one, possibly two, wooded sites coming available for long-term tenants.

We're out west this week exploring the Salmon River canyon in Idaho — and even from here, our minds keep drifting back to the Tennessee River.

We just got word that one of our long-term wooded sites is opening up — possibly two — which is rare. Those sites tend to get claimed quietly and stay claimed. And on the waterfront side, we still have one cove site available for weekend stays or a seasonal arrangement.

Some nights at Hidden Oasis, the cove stays busy long after the sun goes down. 🎣

There's something about a quiet night on the water — the fire dying down, a light out on the cove, not much else. No agenda. Just the river doing its thing.

SummerFest is this Saturday in Hohenwald 8am to 8pm — and it's an easy 35-mile drive from the campground. 🎪

Live music, arts and crafts, a kids zone, great food — all on Main Street in downtown Hohenwald. If you're staying with us this weekend, it's a perfect day trip. If you've been thinking about making a trip out to Clifton, this is a great weekend to do it.

We'll have the fire going when you get back. 🔥

We're not the only ones who love it here. 🦤

This Great Blue Heron was completely unbothered at the water's edge on a recent morning — just doing what herons do while the cove stayed perfectly still around it.

Between the bald eagles last week and this one, we're starting to think the wildlife at Hidden Oasis didn't get the memo that this is a campground. Honestly, we're glad.

Two bald eagles. Right here at Hidden Oasis. 🦅🦅

Mid-afternoon on May 9th, the first one soared right over the cove and landed in a tree above the water. Then the second one followed. We stood there completely still, barely breathing, watching them settle in.

We're pretty sure the second photo caught them mid-argument. We related to that more than we'd like to admit. 😄

And that last photo? That's the tree — right behind the fire pit, right on the cove. Some evenings you're sitting around that fire and you have no idea what's watching from above.

We've always known this stretch of the Tennessee River is special. That moment made it feel official.

Some mornings at Hidden Oasis, you step outside and just stop.

This was early May — mist rising off the cove, not a sound in the world, coffee still in hand. The fire pit wasn't even lit yet and it was already the best moment of the day.
