The morning after… and a little room to breathe at low tide. 🌊

Sunday morning in Corolla: the rain has stopped, but the winds are still strong. Some dune erosion, but our repaired dune dock is looking good so far. Relieved to see it holding up! 🤞

Yesterday: beach chairs. Today: securing them!!🌊

Sunny and 80° made for a gorgeous beach day yesterday. Now another nor’easter is rolling in with rain, powerful winds, and this view from our dune dock.

Living in the Outer Banks means taking the good with the wild. Just wish we’d had a little longer between the two! 😅

Could sit here all evening watching these clouds move across the sky. The pink just makes it that much harder to go inside. 💗

Almost high tide, and there’s still plenty of beach! Our nor’easter has moved on, and just a few remnants remain. Such a gift to see our beach mostly back to normal.

Grateful for this peaceful morning in Corolla and praying for everyone in Florida and along the Gulf Coast preparing for Hurricane Isaias. 💙

Today’s update: The nor’easter has moved out, and the sun is shining again. The surf is still rough and debris remains on the beach, but it’s good to be on the other side of this storm!

The nor’easter has pushed the dunes back and taken the fences, but the dunes are still doing their job. But it's still 1 hour til sunrise.🙏🏻

Beautiful sunset sky as the nor'easter is moving north, the ocean is still angry but the winds have died down.🙏🏻
