Met some other great volunteers at 30 miles in off spring creek pass.

Beautiful easy trail along Shallow Creek for a while. Climbs up a fairly steep hill and enters an area of Aspens which are leafing out as of 5/3/26. Ignore the time on the pic to get to the trailhead as that assumes some walking. Most any SUV or truck can drive to the trailhead - a lot of sedans as well but take it slow - with a little bumpiness...take your time on the road as there are dips but most can be avoided.

Unfortunately, the trail was widened for ATV usage past the aspen groves. It needs some time to heal from the widening.

You don’t see Creede leading the state for a snowfall often. Will take it.

Come visit. Certainly not too cold and these guys are waiting for you!

Prices are still low and a lot of trails are snow free!
