Blue Creek Lodge is a vacationer's paradise. It is located in the beautiful San Juan Mountains — where there is an abundance of outdoor activities.

Owned by the Philbern family, Blue Creek Lodge was once a dance hall and saloon. High-stakes gambling and moonshining took place in the cellar of the old lodge. Since those Wild West days, a few changes have taken place. With a devastating fire in 1977, the Philberns rebuilt what now stands — greatly improving the original buildings to accommodate the many people that come to Blue Creek year-after-year. As members of the community for over 30 years, the Philberns can give you ideas and locations for many recreational activities, such as fishing, hunting, horseback riding, professional theatre, hiking, and biking, just to name a few.

The “river runs through it” at unusually high CFS for October!! Creede and Blue Creek are safe from flooding…the Blue Creek is running high but not out of its banks. Thankful for the moisture but keep those in South Fork and Pagosa Springs in your prayers, a lot of damage with the flooding. Enjoy this blessed day!
