A huge thank you goes out to all who donated & helped fill the bags (and extra boxes) for our Bags for the Badge event! We asked for donations and as always you delivered above and beyond our expectations! Our first year we distributed 192 bags and this year we were able to distribute 350 bags!
Thanks to your support we were able to deliver bags to Troop 4 in Georgetown, Troop 7 in Lewes, South Bethany PD, Bethany PD, Ocean View PD, Fenwick PD, Dagsboro PD, Delmar PD, Laurel PD, Georgetown PD, Dagsboro PD, and Northern York PD in Pennsylvania. We have also have given them to police officers who are a part of the Tuckahoe Camping family.
For the past few years we have only distributed bags to departments in Delaware, but this year we decided to honor Detective Sergeant Cody Becker and detectives Mark Baker and Isaiah Emenheiser from the Northern York Police Department who were shot and killed on September 17th, 2025. Delaware also lost one of their own on December 23rd, when Corporal Matthew “Ty” Snook was shot and killed.
We can never make up for the lives lost, but what we can do is honor their memory and make their brothers and sisters in blue feel seen and supported.
We’re thankful to be a part of a community that enables us to show our support for the men and women in blue. We hope this small gesture will be an encouragement to the police officers and their families. This is our way of saying thank you; what you do matters. 🖤💙🖤
