For those who would like to pay their respects to Hamm, his arrangements are as follows:

A graveside service and burial will be held at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, at 10:30 a.m. to join the procession to the cemetery.

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our longtime camper and dear friend, Hamm.

Hamm wasn’t just a camper. He was part of our family. For many years, he was a familiar face around Fancher’s. If you stopped by the store, there was a good chance you’d find him sitting with my grandmother, chatting, sharing stories, or helping cook something up. The friendship between Hamm and our family spanned many years, and he became someone we all loved.

The campground won’t be quite the same without him. We are grateful for the memories, laughter, conversations, and friendship he shared with us over the years.

Please keep his family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Hamm. You will be greatly missed!
We will post arrangements when we know them.
