Bluffton is partnering with Decorah's local game shop Gamesxp Decorah to host our first private event! A MAGIC THE GATHERING TOURNAMENT!

How To Sign Up..? Follow QR code in the flyer to sign up and follow prompts from there.
When is it...? Monday, November 9th (Doors open at Noon for check in, games begin at 1 pm, Play until the bracket is finished).
Where is it..? Bluffton Resort and Bar. 2619 West Ravine Rd, Decorah IA 52101
Why...? Because we couldn't pass the opportunity to work alongside a business that has been a staple in Decorah for years! Also, the game itself is intended to bring people together, allow space for creativity, friendly competitiveness, as well as leaving all the politics out of the picture for a few hours... (Unless you are a Blue player of course...)

Welcome to the first Competitive cEDH by GamesXP at Bluffton Resort & Bar!

Standard entry - $25 (Includes Tournament Entry)

Deluxe Entry - $50 (Includes Tournament Entry & Entree + Drink)

Proxies Are Allowed - Family Friendly pictures & must be readable.
Proxies must be one item. (Paper proxies sleeved with a mtg card will NOT be allowed, as it is two items.) A single piece of paper however is fine as long as your entire deck is the same.


Alters Are Allowed
No covered: name, mana, or changes made to what the card does
Cards and sleeves cannot be marked, and damaged sleeves must be replaced.


Moxfield deck list must be provided upon player-meeting on tournament day, but entering them earlier on topdeck is also great!

4 rounds of swiss, with cut to top 16. Prizes will increase based on attendance.

80-minute rounds with no extra turns. The active player finishes their turn. If the end-round turn is not completed in 20 minutes, the table will immediately end in a draw.

Doors open at Noon - Players check-in and deck list submissions & deck check.

We will start no latter then 1pm but when all players ready before 1pm we will go ahead and start.

1pm round One starts.

After 4 rounds, before top cuts we will have a food break.

Please be aware that the event will begin promptly at 1:00PM, NO LATER

Late check-ins will be allowed to play only after receiving a Round 1 Loss. Players who have to drop after initial payment will not be given a refund for this event due to the nature of the prize payout and limited seating.

🚨 The Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office is reminding residents and visitors to take extra precautions following several recent vehicle break-ins at canoe access landings near the Bluffton area.

🔒 Please remember to:
• Lock your vehicle every time you leave it.
• Remove valuables and personal belongings from your vehicle.
• Avoid leaving your vehicle parked overnight at canoe access areas when possible.
• Be aware of your surroundings and report anything suspicious.

If you see a person, vehicle, or activity that seems suspicious, please contact the Winneshiek County Sheriff’s Office. Your information could help prevent another break-in.

Please share this information with friends, family, and anyone who enjoys the canoe access areas in the area.

We are excited to announce that on September 10 2026 we will be expanding our resort across the river. The two campgrounds in Bluffton will unite as one resort with shared amenities. We would like to thank Kenny White and his wife for the great partnership over the years.
If you already have reservations with White’s Campground or would like to book a reservation for September 10th or after, please reach out to Bluffton Resort so we can make sure the transition goes as smoothly as possible. We are working on our online reservation system but it will take time to get it updated. We look forward to serving you!

There aren’t many places in Iowa where you can pull up to a small-town resort, grab a bite or drink, and have limestone bluffs and the Upper Iowa River right outside the door.

This is Bluffton Resort & Bar in Bluffton, Iowa — tucked into one of the most scenic stretches of northeast Iowa. It’s a favorite stop for paddlers, campers, and anyone chasing a good river day.

The Upper Iowa River wraps right past the property, with those towering bluffs in the background. Pretty hard to beat this kind of Iowa view.
