Whether you're hiking, biking, or relaxing by the creek, our spacious RV sites and cozy cabins offer the perfect stay. Our Oasis RV Resort Durango is now under new ownership, with the same friendly and family oriented staff and management as before. It was formally a KOA which was established in 1966. Over time it has been upgraded, expanded, modernized, and kept up very well. Now we have cabins a

nd RV sites for big rigs. Many of our sites are tucked into our juniper trees and aren't parking lot like. Come enjoy like many guests before you. Durango is an exciting and vibrant place to be.. We're in spectacular surroundings, as you can see, close to too many great things to list. The campground is convenient to it all, just 7 miles from downtown Durango and about an hour from Mesa Verde National Park. Don't miss our summer duck races, breakfasts and pies and ice cream. The money that we collect for our summer duck races we donate to various charities that include our local Food Banks, Animal Shelters, and many more.... Here is a Durango RV Resort summer day, as reported by several guests who have actually lived it: morning coffee at the site, a few hours on a trail, lunch at Oscar's Cafe, back to the pool by three, a round of mini golf before the air cools down, a game of pool to cool off, and then back to the site for the best part of every summer evening, doing nothing in particular while the mountains take care of the scenery.

Memorial Day weekend kicked off at Durango RV Resort exactly the way summer should. Loud, sun-soaked, and a little tropical.

The pool deck filled up Saturday night for our Luau Pool Party. Hamburgers and hot dogs off the grill with all the fixins, cocktails going around, hula moves from kids and grown-ups alike, and the heated pool finally open after a long winter wait.

The kind of evening that reminds you why you picked this spot for the summer.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it feel like a real celebration. The pool is open all season. We are just getting started.

The smell of bacon at 7am has a way of pulling a whole resort out of bed.

Saturday morning was a full spread. Waffles, pancakes, scrambled and fried eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes, bagels, bread, muffins, and yogurt. Plates piled high, coffee going around, neighbors trading trail tips and weekend plans across the table.

This is the stuff that turns an RV site into a stay you remember.

GET READY CAMPERS because the moment we have all been waiting for is almost here!

The Durango RV Resort pool opens next Friday, May 22nd and we are diving headfirst into summer! Come make a splash daily from 9am to 9pm and soak up everything the Colorado sunshine has to offer. Whether you are floating the afternoon away or cooling off after a big day of adventures, your poolside basecamp is officially open and ready for you. 🏊☀️

But we are not stopping there! On Saturday, May 23rd we are throwing a Luau to celebrate the arrival of summer the right way. 🌺🍹 Bring your best tropical spirit, your chairs, and your sense of fun because we are turning Durango into a mountain paradise for the night.

Summer at the basecamp is here and it is going to be one for the books. Pool open daily 9am to 9pm starting May 22nd. Luau celebration May 23rd. Mark your calendars and get your suits ready! 🌴🏔️

Some of the best days in Durango start with a tired pair of legs and a little nudge.

Two days downtown, a long ride on the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge, and the chairs outside your site start looking very convincing. We get it. But ask anyone at the front desk and they will point you toward the Animas River Trail. About six miles of river walk straight into town, with a cold drink at 11th Street Station waiting on the other end.

Boots get dusty. The sun drops behind the San Juans. You come back already talking about next spring.

Last week around the firepit was exactly what camp season is all about!

Campers pulled up their chairs, poured their drinks, and gathered together under the Colorado stars for an evening of s'mores, good conversation, and that perfect mountain warmth that you just cannot find anywhere else. 🍫⭐

Watching our guests connect, laugh, and make memories together on just the second night of camp season was the best reminder of why we love what we do. This is what the basecamp is all about.

There is a moment every Memorial Day weekend when the gate to the pool opens and the whole resort feels different. Kids in swimsuits before breakfast. Neighbors who have been waving all spring finally pulling up a chair and actually catching up.

This Sunday from 7 to 10am, we are treating every mom at Durango RV Resort to a complimentary breakfast because there is no better way to celebrate the women who make every adventure worth taking.

The fun does not stop at Durango RV Resort this week, and the little ones are going to love what we have planned!

Tomorrow night, grab your blankets, pull up a chair, and join us for Family Movie Night under the Colorado sky. There is nothing quite like watching a great film with good company and mountain air all around you.

Then on Saturday, bring the kids out for Craft Day! A perfect morning of creativity, color, and fun for our youngest campers. Let them make something special to take home as a memory from their time here in the mountains.

Two days, two reasons to make memories with your family this week. We love seeing the little adventurers enjoy their time at the basecamp just as much as the big ones!
