🎃👻 Happy Halloween 👻🎃

We wanted to share a little Halloween cuteness from one of our alumni, Benny! Oh isn’t he just the cutest little Frankenstein!

We are always excited to hear how our former residents are doing in their forever homes. Benny’s family had this sweet update to share:

“He’s the best cat. He chirps and purrs on command and loves to love all day and night. We love him soooo much!”

We are so grateful to the wonderful families who open their hearts and homes to these precious kitties. Happy tails, Benny! 💚

We’re OPEN today, so stop by and get in some kitty cuddles before heading out for a spooky evening of trick-or-treating! 👻🎃

Our kitties have put their current cat trees right into retirement! 😹

We’re on the lookout for some new cat trees to give our feline friends a little upgrade! Each of our kitty rooms has different needs, and we’d love to find the purrfect fit for everyone.

Our young adults in the Zoomie Zone would love a tall, 7-foot cat tree to climb, explore, and keep an eye on all the action!

Our seniors and kittens would benefit from shorter, sturdy cat trees with safe, easy-to-reach perches for lounging, playing, and catching those all-important cat naps.

If you’re looking for a special way to spoil our kitties, a cat tree would make a purrfect gift! 🎁🐾

🎈🐾 Animas Valley Balloon Rally! 🐾🎈

A huge thank-you to everyone who came out to the Animas Valley Balloon Rally this weekend! Saturday was an absolute blast, and we loved meeting so many wonderful people and sharing the mission behind Cat Care Durango. ❤️

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans, and the remaining days were canceled due to high winds. While we missed out on more balloon-filled fun, we’re incredibly grateful for the time we got to spend with everyone!

A special thank-you to Kathy and Sam for sharing your passion with us and helping make this event so memorable. And a HUGE shout-out to everyone who volunteered their time to help with the tethered balloon rides. Your time, energy, and generosity mean so much! 🎈🙌

We’re so thankful to be part of such a supportive community. Every conversation, every helping hand, and every opportunity to spread the word about our mission helps us continue caring for the cats who need us. 🐱💕

We’re proud to be a recipient of an LPEA Round Up Foundation grant! For 30 years, LPEA members have rounded up their monthly electric bills to the next dollar, turning small change into more than $2.5 million for local nonprofits. The more members who participate, the more grant dollars are available to support organizations like ours and projects throughout our community. Our Round Up grant helped provide specialty diets for our cats! For some of our cats, specialized nutrition is an important part of their care and well-being. These diets can be costly, but thanks to this grant, we can better meet the unique nutritional needs of the cats who depend on us. Every little bit helps us provide the care, comfort, and nourishment they deserve.

🐱We have some adorable new faces at Cat Care Durango! These sweet little cuties are settling in and growing, but they aren’t quite ready to head to their forever homes just yet. 🥹

Our kittens still need to be spayed or neutered before they can go home, but we’re hoping everyone will be ready for their big day by the end of the month! 🤞🐾

We call it the Zoomie Zone for a reason! 🐈‍⬛💨😂

Cass and new arrival Astra have officially entered chaos mode and we are HERE for it. The zoomies? Immaculate. The midair jumps? 10/10. The brakes? Absolutely nonexistent. 😹

And as entertaining as their zoomies are, these two (and so many others) are still looking for their forever homes! 🤍 If you’re looking for a couple of playful personalities to keep you laughing, come meet Cass, Astra and our other zoomie kitties!
