Every year the San Juans do this. Like they need to remind everyone why Colorado exists. 🚂😍

The aspens go gold, the peaks get dusted with the first snow of the season, and the whole range looks like a painting.

You can drive through it, hike through it, or just pull off on the side of the road and stand in it for a while. All valid choices.

🌵🎃🍷 Scottsdale just woke up from its summer nap, and it's worth the wait.

After months of heat that kept everyone indoors, October flips the switch.

Temperatures settle into the 80s during the day and dip cool enough in the evenings to actually sit outside, which means rooftop dinners, patio cocktails, and long walks through Old Town without melting.

This month also brings Canal Convergence to the Scottsdale Waterfront. 10 nights of large-scale public art, live music, and light installations inspired by the desert landscape.

Add the Scottsdale Fall Festival on Oct. 17 (bigger footprint than ever this year), and the Scottsdale W**e Trail for good measure.

If you've been eyeing a desert getaway and kept putting it off, October is your sign.

236 miles. Six mountain towns. Zero bad views. 😍⛰️🍂

The San Juan Skyway is one of those drives that makes you pull over every ten minutes!

The loop runs Durango → Silverton → Ouray → Ridgway → Telluride → Dolores → back to Durango, threading through aspen groves, mining ghost towns, and San Juan peaks that look lifted straight from a painting.

The whole loop takes 4-5 hours straight through, but the towns deserve time.

We have homes in nearly every town along this loop. Stay a night in Durango, another in Ouray, and do this drive the way it deserves. Slow and unhurried.

🍂✨ Two completely different places. Same invitation.

In the Northwoods of Wisconsin, late September means maple red and birch gold reflecting off lakes that finally have room to breathe.

Up in North Idaho, Coeur d'Alene, Schweitzer, the Sandpoint corridor. It's a different palette but the same feeling. Larch gold. Mountain air.

A shoulder season that rewards the people who show up for it.
