Built in 1887, the historic Strater Hotel (Historic Hotels of America Member) is a prominent downtown Durango, Colorado landmark located two blocks north of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, one hour east of Mesa Verde National Park, and in the heart of the rugged San Juan Mountains. The Strater Hotel is dedicated to supporting the arts in Durango, Colorado and it shows with live music seven nights a week in the Diamond Belle Saloon and the Office Spiritorium.

You can check out the Blue Moon Ramblers at “The Belle” tonight from 6-9 pm and Ben Gibson at “The Office” from 6-9 pm.

The Blue Moon Ramblers are a local Americana & Bluegrass band that’s been playing at the Diamond Belle Saloon every Sunday for over 30 years!

Ben Gibson draws inspiration from legends like Hendrix, Vaughan, Clapton, and Beck, along with modern greats like Bonamassa and Satriani. His sets feature a mix of originals and powerful covers.

Enjoy award-winning ragtime music live at the Diamond Belle Saloon inside the historic Strater Hotel featuring Adam Swanson this Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 5:30 - 10 pm. Come for Weekday Happy Hour from 4 - 6 pm and stay for free live music and entertainment.

The Diamond Belle Saloon is one of North America’s most historic and prominent ragtime music venues.

Ragtime has held a strong presence in musical composition, entertainment, and scholarship for over a century. It emerged in its published form during the mid-1890s and quickly spread across the continent via published compositions.

By the early 1900s ragtime flooded the music publishing industry. The popularity and demand for ragtime also boosted sale of pianos and greatly swelled the ranks of the recording industry.

The Strater Hotel is a living history museum and a member of the Historic Hotels of America of America. You will find history and awe-inspiring story and craftsmanship literally everywhere here. The Strater hotel welcomes people from all over the world to tour our living history museum and iconic red brick building in the heart of downtown Durango.

Thursday, October 7th and Friday, October 8th offers your last chance to take our free guided history tours from 12-3 pm to learn more about the fascinating history of the Strater Hotel. If you can’t make it to a guided history tour this week you can learn more about our history at Strater.com

We also invite you to dine with us and enjoy craft cocktails, b**r and w**e along with free live music every night. The Strater Hotel features three unique dining experiences: The Mahogany Grille The Office Spiritorium and the authentic old west Diamond Belle Saloon
