Our cottages are dotted along one third of a mile of no bank, pebble and sand beach. With their spacing and wooded setting they offer a sense of privacy and solitude that's hard to find elsewhere. In fact we pride ourselves on being the most private beach resort on Orcas Island, and one of the most private in the San Juans. We also have one of the nicest beaches on the islands, certainly with rega

rd to the view. During the Spring and Summer you can see magnificent sunsets over the Canadian San Juans. Our family purchased the land back in 1911 and built many of our cabins in the 1930s. People looking for cable TV and hot tubs -- which we don't have -- might prefer the word "rustic" to describe our cottages. But they are for those of you looking for lodgings with warmth and character, and furnished with all the basic necessities. Our beach is located just a couple of miles drive from the center of Eastsound. The village of Eastsound has a relatively large, well-stocked grocery store, a number of restaurants and coffee shops, a liquor store, a movie theater, as well as an internet cafe. Being near Eastsound also means we are less than half an hour's drive from the ferry landing to the West and Moran State Park to the East. Turning down our road you will venture through over half a mile of woods and fields before even reaching the beach. So, although centrally located and close to most of the Island's many amenities, we are able to maintain a sense of isolation.
