A great day for an outing!

The Teamsters Local 8 held a super successful outing yesterday. The weather couldn't have been better and everyone was in under our outdoor patio and eating before the storm rolled through. We even had a friend swing by the club house hoping to catch some table scraps😂

We look forward to seeing you all next year🫡

🔥🔥Life EVERYWHERE🔥🔥

My goal for the morning:
Add another hose location, wiring receptacles up for linked music to the driving range and walking the grounds to check on things.

While there I realized, this place is no longer DEAD.
A place that last May had a one track path of turning into a briar patch. It is ALIVE!!

Here's just a quick synopsis of some experiences I had:

- first of all pulling down the lane I was following 4 cars in, parkinglot was full, people parking out back, almost every cart out of the shed, cart boyz running everywhere, our general manager and bar manager running around like crazy, director of golf making relationships with guys front State college, Pittsburgh and beyond!!!

- we had a quick meeting about how to faster serve our guests, because yesterday we had a fully packed bar, banquet room, and people were outside and in the driving range eating and talking outside of our golfers. It went wonderful, we are gearing up, organizing kitchen better, training our servers better, etc. We learned we need to thaw out a lot more food, lolololo.

- While working by myself, I could smell the grill, which was mouthwatering, hear golfers all over the course laughing, watching staff set up for a full meal event, watching our grounds crew work like crazy. I honestly always expect a ton from everyone (and myself) and I'm hard to please, but we truly do have some of the best people that actually care about the mission, and i couldn't be more pleased.

- talking with our director of golf and manager asking how the 2 ball attendance is going and since we made the post a day ago we have had 7!!!! New teams sign up and 4 more verbal commitments. Freaking wow🔥🔥

- talked with golfers that just thanked us from the bottom of their hearts for taking this project on. They said about how their dad had shown them the game here and how it means so much to them. To me, this one hits deep and has the same effect for me. This was my first place to smack balls around.

-had a talk with a local supporter of ours that is starting his own clothing and hat brand, and decided to pull the trigger to get some of his merchandise in the proshop.

Just overall, such a rewarding project, I love this place.

The return of the infamous 2-ball!

July 17th-19th we are re-introducing the well-known 2-ball invitational that was longed for every year by a good many golfers. This year we are building our roster for years to come, so be sure to get your team registered today before our max amount of teams get met!

There will also be camper parking available* which means you will not have to worry about lodging for this 3-day masterclass event.

We appreciate all of the support thus far and are excited to be able to provide a great event for the love of the game and the future of the Resort!

With yet another rainy night coming our way, we decided to close the course tomorrow (Sun 5/24) AND Snappers Bar & Grill at Raystown Golf Resort . Hopefully mother nature will soon allow steady play, but for now, she wins. Enjoy your weekend!
