"Big Boy" Train Information

On Wednesday July 1, 2026 the Union Pacific "Big Boy" Train will arrive at the Jim Thorpe Train Station between the hours of 4:00pm and 6:00pm and remain there until Thursday July 2, 2026 when it will depart at 9:00am for Philadelphia. Residents should expect heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic during these times. Anyone planning to attend this event should plan ahead. More event information regarding the "Big Boy" visit to Jim Thorpe will be posted as we finalize plans for parking and viewing areas.
