Absentee In-Person and Early Voting Begins October 19

Early Voting is simple. Go to one of the Early Voting polling places where your eligibility will be determined at the time you vote by verifying the information on your voter registration record. Your voted ballot is then scanned as it is on Election Day.

Absentee In-Person voting is like voting by mail at your polling place. Each voting location has various district ballots available. Absentee In-Person voting requires you to complete an envelope with your voted ballot and drop the envelope in a ballot box. These ballots are not scanned at the voting location at the time you fill them out, rather they are reviewed by the Absentee Review Board to make sure you are eligible and that you have not already voted.

Goldbelt encourages shareholders, families and community members in Juneau to make a plan to have their voices heard in support of candidates and ballot measures that support Goldbelt initiatives and values.

Juneau Locations:
▪️Downtown: State Office Building
▪️Valley: Division of Elections in the Mendenhall Mall Annex
Hours: Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our lands. Our families. Our future. Our vote.

Alaska Native voices need to be heard in every decision that affects our future. Voting is one way to use our voice—not for one person, party, or candidate, but for our communities, our rights, our resources, our languages. Goldbelt encourages shareholders, families and community members in Juneau to make a plan to have their voices heard and to consider how candidates and ballot measures align with Goldbelt initiatives and values, including strong communities, responsible stewardship and opportunities for future generations.

On November 3rd, make sure your voice is heard.

Make a plan. Bring a relative. Help an Elder. Vote for the future we are building together. Goldbelt encourages shareholders, families and community members in Juneau to make a plan to have their voices heard in support of candidates and ballot measures that support Goldbelt initiatives and values.

Visit MyGoldbelt.com for trusted resources you can use to register to vote, confirm your registration, learn where and how to vote, and get to know the candidates and issues on this November’s ballot. https://mygoldbelt.com/news/item/2026-10-01/Our-lands-Our-families-Our-future-Our-vote

Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Today, we honor the strength and resilience of Indigenous peoples everywhere and celebrate the Tlingit people whose homeland is Lingít Aaní.

For Goldbelt, our responsibility is both to honor what has been carried forward and to build what comes next. We create opportunities for our shareholders and descendants, strengthen our communities, steward our lands and resources, and work to ensure our culture, language and values continue for generations.

Our Tlingit values are alive in our traditions, art and language, in our relationship with the land, in how we care for one another, and in how we do business.

From scholarships and workforce development to Goldbelt Heritage Foundation and businesses and projects like Goldbelt Aaní, we are investing in our people today while building a strong future for generations to come.

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor our ancestors, celebrate our people today, and recognize our shared responsibility for the preservation and perpetuity of what makes us who we are.

Gunalchéesh to our shareholders and Indigenous communities everywhere.

Goldbelt's Internship & Externship Program Sets Students Up for Success

This summer, Cornerstone General Contractors was an externship site for two Goldbelt shareholders, Wyatt Harvey and Salici Purser. During 10-week program, the externs learned under their mentor, Gabriel Kahlstrom, Cornerstone superintendent in Juneau. In addition to supporting and guiding the two externs, Kahlstrom sat in on their final project presentations at the conclusion of the program.

"I was overjoyed after sitting through all of the presentations - many young people don’t get the opportunities you folks at Goldbelt are providing. Those two young men and their ability to articulate the different challenges and procedures in the various scopes they were introduced into caught me quite off guard. I feel extremely proud of both of them. I’ve expressed to them separately my high level of confidence in their ability, integrity, and future. I really wanted to thank you for the opportunity to mentor them as I feel it was a true blessing to be involved with their tutelage. They will be missed by myself and my crew."
