It’s a beautiful morning!

We’re grateful that the storm has passed. While there is some damage to clean up, including a large tree that came down on our property, we’re counting our blessings today.

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and Hawaii is reminding us that even after the storm, there is always beauty waiting on the other side.

Praying for everyone across the islands as we begin the cleanup and recovery. ❤️🌺

The Big Island is home to one of the few green sand beaches in the world!

And that’s one of the things that makes this island so special. You can find beaches with black, white, green, golden, and gray sand, each shaped by the unique volcanic and natural landscape of the island.

The green at Papakōlea comes from olivine, a green mineral found in the volcanic rock surrounding the beach. Over time, the softer material breaks down, leaving behind the beautiful green crystals. A reminder that in Hawaiʻi, even the sand has a story. 🌺
