Woohoo!!! Great news!

The wait is almost over! The North Rim of the Grand Canyon will officially reopen on May 15, 2026, at 6 a.m.

Scenic drives, iconic overlooks, and the North Kaibab Trail will once again welcome visitors for the season. From Cape Royal and Point Imperial to Angels Window and Roosevelt Point, adventure on the North Rim returns just in time for summer exploring.

Please note: no overnight lodging will be available inside the park on the North Rim during the 2026 season, so plan ahead for accommodations, fuel, food, and water.

Love Kokopelli Kottage!
A friend and I recently spent five nights at Kokopelli Kottage. It was super convenient to many amazing sites in the area. The owners provided a lot of information on the activities and attractions nearby. The home had everything we could need from extra towels to day packs and coolers we could use for the day. It was clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed seeing the stars from the backyard. We even got to see a small herd of deer pass through the back yard to the open area next door! Even though we could not bring our dogs this time, the house was all set up to comfortably care for dogs. I would highly recommend a stay at Kokopelli Kottage!
