We love it here. 🌊
We love the salty air and the sand in our shoes. We love when the tide creeps up and catches our carefully cuffed jeans. We love looking back on class field trips to the tide pools, where we learned to appreciate how weird and colorful nature could be.
Today is World Ocean Day, and we're taking a moment to appreciate what makes this stretch of coast so special.
We're also sending a big thank you to Surfrider Foundation for the work they do every day to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. From organizing beach cleanups and advocating for clean water to tackling plastic pollution at its source, they're helping preserve the places we all love to explore. We're proud to have been part of Surfrider's Ocean Friendly Hotels and Restaurants program since 2018.
Their work is also a reminder that caring for the ocean happens through everyday choices. For us, that means reducing single-use plastics, conserving water, and finding more intentional ways to lessen our impact on the place we call home.
