With Halloween tomorrow, we just want to say thank you to everyone who joined us at The Oaks.

We’re so grateful for each guest who filled the resort with laughter, shared stories by the fire, and braved our Haunted Trail under the mountain moonlight.

Your presence made the weekend feel special

—quiet moments, spooky fun, and that familiar sense of community that makes this place feel like home.

We hope you left with full hearts (and maybe a few goosebumps). Until next time, safe travels and peaceful roads ahead.

We’re truly grateful for words like these.

“This place is top notch—from the beautiful views to the best owners who really care.”

Creating a place where people feel welcomed, cared for, and at peace is why we built The Oaks.

The views may be what catch your eye first, but it’s the people who stay here that make it meaningful for us.

Thank you to every guest who trusts us with their time away. We don’t take that lightly, and we’re thankful you chose to spend it here.

Nights here fall gently over the mountains, carrying the crackle of a fire, the sounds of nature, and the soft hush of the trees.

This is the quiet luxury we all crave—
the kind that asks nothing of you but presence.

Where the stars feel closer,
the world feels softer,
and the only plan is to stay a little longer.

Come sit. Let the evening hold you.

“Such a beautiful place to spend a week… The owners treat you like family.”

That’s the highest compliment we could hope for. We built The Oaks with care, but it’s the chance to welcome you, get to know you, and share these mountains that makes it meaningful.

Our hope has always been that every guest feels seen, appreciated, and at ease.

Your words remind us we’re on the right path.

We’re grateful to call this our home, and even more grateful when it feels like home to you, too.

Halloween is just around the corner here in the Blue Ridge Mountains—and the colors have never looked better.

The trees are glowing, the air is crisp, and every sunset feels a little more golden.

It’s that perfect mix of cozy nights, quiet mornings, and fall magic all around.

If you’re heading our way soon, you’re catching The Oaks at its most beautiful time of year.

Just a short drive from The Oaks RV Resort, the Blue Ridge Parkway unfolds into one of its most photographed landmarks — Mabry Mill.

Built in 1910 by Ed Mabry, this hand-crafted gristmill has become a timeless symbol of mountain life.

The gentle sound of the waterwheel, the reflections in the pond, and the quiet paths surrounding it invite you to slow down and simply take it in.

→ Step back in time with demonstrations of old-time crafts and milling
→ Capture one of the Parkway’s most peaceful views — especially at sunrise or fall’s golden hour.

Whether you visit for the history, a photo, or just the stillness of that turning wheel, Mabry Mill reminds you what the Blue Ridge does best: it slows the world down.

Only minutes from The Oaks — your peaceful base to explore the beauty and history of the Parkway.

→ Return to The Oaks for an evening of fireside warmth, sweet treats, and twinkling lights that feel like home. Take a stroll through the Christmas trail.

This is what the holidays in the Blue Ridge mountains are meant to be — peaceful, heartfelt, and filled with the kind of moments you’ll want to return to year after year.

There’s a moment in the Blue Ridge mountains when the light softens, the air cools, and everything slows.

Here at The Oaks, fall sunsets aren’t just something you see — they’re something you feel.

The warmth of the fire, the color in the trees, the hush of the evening breeze, the sense that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

→ A kind of peace that is hard to find.
