A new bird season is on the horizon.

At Primland, an Orvis Double-Endorsed Wingshooting & Fly-Fishing Lodge, fully guided upland hunts for pheasant, quail, and chukar unfold across 12,000 acres of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains. Alongside daily hunts, the 2026–2027 dates for Driven Pheasant Shoots and the European-style Released Pheasant Shoot have gone live—marking new opportunities to celebrate time-honored sporting traditions in our prime mountain landscape.

Also returning to the calendar is the annual Orvis Winter Pursuits Weekend, January 8–10, 2027, featuring Orvis hosts from the Appalachian region.
