As the sun sets and the stars come out, join us for an evening basking in one of the Katahdin Region's greatest treasures: our dark skies.

This Saturday, June 13th at 8:00pm, we'll gather in front of River Drivers Restaurant and head down to the beach for a relaxed Sunset & Stars Party with NPS Dark Sky Ranger Heidi Hummel. Learn about the night sky above us, connect with fellow stargazers, and enjoy a beautiful evening under a blanket of stars.

Find your flow with one of the best views in Maine! 🧘‍♀️
Join us this June at our Event Center for a series of all-levels yoga classes overlooking Katahdin and Millinocket Lake.

Whether you're brand new to yoga or have been practicing for years, these relaxed, welcoming classes focus on moving, breathing, and enjoying the outdoors.

Bring a mat if you have one, and water. Blocks will be provided. Weather and bugs permitting, we'll practice outside!

Saturday’s wedding at our Event Center was such a beautiful and joyful celebration for two wonderful people! From the jaw dropping florals designed by Belladonna Floral, to the delicious food, homemade desserts, and signature cocktails, every detail came together perfectly.

The energy was incredible all evening long, with music, dancing, and so much love filling the room as friends and family celebrated Jake and Eugenia. It was an unforgettable night and a wonderful reflection of the couple and their families. ❤️💃

Volume up! The elusive American Bittern is one of Maine’s most unique birds and can often be heard long before it’s ever seen! Found among large freshwater marshes and wetlands, this master of camouflage blends seamlessly into the reeds and tall grass.

Its distinctive booming call, often described as sounding like a “distant foghorn” or “someone pumping water through old pipes”, can carry across an entire marsh. Spotting one is a VERY special treat, but hearing its unmistakable call is to know you’ve experienced one of Maine’s most fascinating wetland residents. 🌾

Your upcoming weekend plans have been made! Join us on the Penobscot River this Saturday, May 30th for our Double Trouble raft trip!🌊

This trip offers two runs through Ripogenus Gorge and the Cribworks, which means twice the action, twice the adrenaline, and twice the time spent on one of the best stretches of whitewater east of the Mississippi. Paddle through Class IV/V rapids alongside our experienced river guides, then kick back for a hearty BBQ lunch before heading back out for round two.

The Summit Project has officially arrived at NEOC for an incredible weekend of remembrance, reflection, and community. Tomorrow, hikers will make their way up The Owl in Baxter State Park, in honor of Maine’s fallen soldiers, carrying memorial stones and the stories of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Founded in Maine in 2013, The Summit Project is a living memorial dedicated to honoring post-9/11 fallen service members from Maine through fellowship, education, and physical challenge. Participants carry tribute stones chosen by surviving families, ensuring these heroes and their stories are never forgotten.

We’re deeply honored to host this meaningful gathering here in the Katahdin Region.
