Are you ready for winter yet? We are actively putting together resources on our Linktree account for people to explore the Bear Lake Valley, including a whole lot of resources for outdoor enthusiasts! Snowmobiling being a very exciting one for us right now. We are looking forward to having a ton of snow in the mountains this year.
If you don't follow Chase Thomason for weather updates, you should be! Looking to have rain in the Bear Lake Valley over the next few days and snow in the mountains. If you are hunting and need a dry place to stay or if you want to break out your snowmobile and come see if you can ride in a few inches of snow, we have a room for you! Comment and guess how many inches of snow we will see in the mountains by the end of this storm!

PART 3: From heavy rain to mountain snow by Friday. 🌧️❄️

The storm system will push into northern Utah and SW Wyoming late Thursday into Friday, bringing colder air and lowering snow levels.

Snow levels are expected to fall to around 8,000 feet, with 2-6 inches of snow possible above 9,000 feet. Some of the favored mountain locations could pick up more, depending on how the storm tracks through the region.

That means accumulating snow is possible across the higher terrain, including portions of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains.

For the valleys, rain will be the main story through much of the event, with the best chance for mountain snow arriving late in the week.

One storm, three days of impacts: heavy rain, a potential flash flood threat, a few strong thunderstorms and accumulating mountain snow.

We’ll keep tracking the latest forecast as the details come into focus.

Over the past week, we've shared the incredible journey of this special site, from Montpelier City Hall to Sacred Ground.

We've looked back at demolition, the discovery of a time capsule, groundbreaking, construction milestones, and the final stages of completion. What began as a vision has become a reality.
Today, the Montpelier Idaho Temple Open House officially begins.
