Today, on September 2nd, with the temps soaring into the 90s, it’s hard to believe that in a few short weeks cool winds, crisp nights, and the changing colors of fall will be upon us. 🍁

Take heart, Fellow Autumn lovers! September is coming in hot, but so is the magic of a cooler season. Be patient 🧡

And as you plan your fall activities, don’t forget to take a moment to truly see the beautiful world around us. Every single moment is a blessing, and a golden maple tree, red sumac, or brilliant tulip popular are just a gentle reminder that we live in a stunning world. Don’t forget 🍁

There’s something so restful and restorative about looking out over a beautiful vista. To follow the shape of the hills with ones’ eyes, and to see further than usual, is the most expansive feeling.

Even as the world feels a little more chaotic, and the news is full of dire warnings, the Black Oak trees are having a bountiful year of acorns, and the squirrels run about full of purpose.

It’s good to remember that the natural world has a rhythm all its own, and if we let ourselves, we can sink into it and rest a while.

Have a beautiful week and if you can, take a pause and look out at the natural world around us. It’s truly magnificent 🧡

As we say goodbye to August, it’s good to remember how slow and sweet September can be.
Life is busy, and sometimes it’s easier to just rush from moment to moment, but really slowing down, even if only for an evening, can be all we need to realign with our values, and remember how many blessings we all truly have 💫

Abe’s Cabin at Treetop Retreat in Brown County, Indiana is a darling 1885 log suite with an extra special view from the top of one of the highest hills 🌿
