1904 inn on the Natchez Bluff sharing its spectacular Mississippi River view with guests worldwide. It has been in one family's possession since 1930.

With unsurpassed views of the Mississippi River visible from every room, Clifton House is the only guest house located right on Natchez's world-famous Bluff Path. Enjoy watching river traffic from our wide front porch and be sure to stay for sunset -- certainly not to be missed! Go to sleep watching the lights of the "Golden Gate of the Mississippi", the Natchez-Vidalia Bridge. Explore all that Natchez has to offer just a short walk down the Bluff Path, including downtown shopping, restaurants, museums, parks, a casino, and Antebellum mansions. Clifton House takes its name from "Clifton," an Antebellum home owned by the Suget family that stood nearby until it was destroyed toward the end of the Civil War. A Yankee officer, John Moulder Wilson --insulted after not being invited to a party at the home -- ordered its demolition with explosives. The structure now proudly bearing the Clifton name is a 1904 American Foursquare listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Clifton House is proudly managed by Absolute Charm Luxury Accommodations in Natchez.
