Hurricane Isaias packed quite a punch, with wind gusts reaching 110 mph. Unfortunately, our little slice of paradise, Poseidon's Rest in Navarre Beach, Florida, took a hit.
It's such a strange feeling to know our beach house has been damaged and we can't be there. But with no power or running water, there's not much we can do right now. We also know that crews need to focus on the people who call the area home year-round, especially those who were hit much harder than we were.
It looks like the ground floor walls blew out, and took some of the plumbing and wiring with them. We have some walkover and deck damage, some interior ceiling water staining, and some other miscellaneous damage. We're grateful for Paradise Beach Homes helping us out. We're keeping our neighbors and the entire community in our thoughts, and hoping everyone is safe. We know things were so much worse for so many.
We'll make the drive down soon to see things for ourselves and, of course, keep y'all posted on the latest "adventure." ❤️
And just for reference, the last photo is what Poseidon's Rest is SUPPOSED to look like from the front!
