Fall Volunteer Opportunities at Camp Workcoeman

Fall is almost here, and we have several opportunities for members of the Camp Workcoeman community to get involved and help support our camp, programs, and Scouts!

Whether you can give a weekend, a Saturday, or just a few hours, your time and talents make a difference. Sign up using the appropriate online sign up form in the comments.

Campmaster Program – Fall 2026
Help welcome and support the units and groups visiting Camp Workcoeman throughout the fall! Campmasters serve as a friendly and knowledgeable presence at camp and help our weekend guests as needed.

Camp Work Day – Saturday, September 19
Help us get Camp Workcoeman ready for our busy fall season! We’ll have a variety of projects for volunteers of different skill levels. Whether you can spend the whole day or just a few hours with us, we would appreciate the help!

Webelos Woods – September 25–27
One of our biggest fall programs is right around the corner! We are looking for volunteers to help with activities, program areas, meals, logistics, and more as we welcome Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts from throughout the region to Camp Workcoeman.

Help for the entire weekend or just part of it is welcome!

Camp Workcoeman is fortunate to have an incredible community of volunteers who continue to give their time and talents throughout the year. Thank you for everything you do to make great Scouting experiences possible!

Is Eagle Scout your goal? Take another step along the trail at Trail to Eagle Merit Badge Day at Camp Workcoeman!

Saturday, October 24th
8:30am-5:00pm

This special program gives Scouts the opportunity to work on an Eagle-required merit badge in a focused setting with experienced Merit Badge Counselors. Whether you’re just beginning your journey toward Eagle or working to complete those final requirements, this is a great opportunity to keep moving forward!

- Citizenship in the Nation
- Citizenship in the World
- Emergency Preparedness
- Environmental Science

Some merit badges may require prerequisite or follow-up work, so Scouts should review the requirements for their selected badge before attending.

Space may be limited by merit badge—register early to secure your spot!

Webelos Woods is a weekend designed especially for Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts as they experience the next step in their Scouting adventure! Scouts will spend the weekend camping, building outdoor skills, completing adventures, enjoying exciting activities, and getting a taste of the Scouts BSA experience.

Today we were excited to welcome youth from Meriden Parks & Recreation Camp to Camp Workcoeman for a day of outdoor adventure!

Throughout their visit, campers got a taste of the Workcoeman experience through field games, climbing, and swimming. From challenging themselves on the climbing wall to cooling off in the water, it was a day filled with fun, teamwork, and plenty of smiles.

We loved having the Meriden campers join us and getting the opportunity to introduce another group of young people to all that Camp Workcoeman has to offer.

Thanks for spending the day with us—we hope to see you back at camp again!

MERIT BADGE COMPLETION DAY — AUGUST 29!

Have a merit badge that’s almost finished? Now’s the time to get it across the finish line!

Join us for Merit Badge Completion Day and work on those remaining requirements with counselors available to help Scouts complete their badges.

Saturday, August 29
8:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Whether you have a requirement or two left or need some extra help wrapping things up, bring your merit badge materials, completed work, and Scout spirit!
