Are you looking to come to the world famous Berkeley Springs Apple Butter Festival, but can’t find a place to stay?

Front hall and entry up to the second floor. On the second floor there are the three individual suites each with their own private bath.

It was my pleasure to be part of Day 2 of the Paw Paw Seniors apple butter making.

14 bushels of apples were peeled, cored, cut,and cleaned on Day 1.

Day 2 started before 6am with building a fire and heating up the kettle.

As the apple slices were continuously stirred and cooked down to a thick liquid sugar, dark molasses, cinnamon, and clove oil were added.

The day yielded around 25 gallons of apple butter.

Making the day extra special was having the students from the Paw Paw K-12 school come over and learn about Paw Paw’s Apple Orchard history, and the apple butter making process.

And nothing went to waste with the apple skins being turned into tasty apple jelly.

The event was part of United Way’s Day of Caring organized by Starting Points in collaboration with the Paw Paw Seniors, and the Morgan Arts Council who provided grant support.

We at the McBee House hope to see you there. Paw Paw’s population more than doubles the day of the festival!

We're going in the book! The Greater Allegheny Passage (GAP) Trail Guide (https://gaptrail.org) book that is. We've heard that advertising in the guide is one of the best ways to get the word out to cyclists. Can't wait to see the below ad in print - and especially can't wait to host cyclists coming off the C&O Canal.
