Built by an Italian Prince for his Denver bride in the mid-20's as a summer retreat for both friends and family alike, this historic stone lodge today is an exclusive 34 acre mountain estate, now known as Meadow Creek Mountain Lodge and Event Center. It balances convenience of valuable time with a most secluded mountain experience.

Leaf-peeping season in Colorado is short and unpredictable. But if you’re staying at Meadow Creek, you don’t have far to go.

Planning your 2027 company retreat? Get your team out of the conference room. 🍁

An off-site should be more than the same meetings in a different room. It should give your team enough time to leave the daily work behind, speak honestly about what is working and figure out together where the business is going next.

If you’re planning a retreat for late 2026 or 2027, consider our off-site formula:

⏳ Give your planning session enough time. One afternoon is simply not enough to review the year and plan the next one. Spread the work across a couple of days so no one is trying to fit a year’s worth of thinking into four hours.

🌲 Go somewhere that does not look like work. There is a reason people open up more on walks, around a dinner table or sitting by a fire. A change of scenery can help people approach the problems they have been staring at all year in a new way.

💡 Don’t schedule every minute. Long working sessions can leave people feeling drained, so leave room for mental breaks. The space to reflect between planning sessions matters too.

🍽️ Make meals actually worth gathering around. Bring in a private chef, cook together or have a picnic outside. Stay at the table long enough for the real conversations to begin.

🥾 Skip the awkward icebreaker. Take a guided goat hike. Book an astrophotography lesson. Ride through town on Ebikes. Plan something that people will still be talking about when they get home.
