Nothing says fall like a fire pit and a fresh batch of s'mores. Our fireside package brings marshmallows, Hershey's chocolate bars, and graham crackers, plus roasting sticks and plenty of seasoned firewood to get the fire going.

Big Pocono State Park offers a wide view of the whole valley in color. Dingmans Falls adds a short, shaded walk that ends at a waterfall surrounded by fall color. Both sit a short drive from our porch.

We'll pack a picnic backpack with sandwiches, fresh fruit, trail mix, and a sweet treat, plus a thermos of iced tea or lemonade. Find a spot under the fall foliage, along a trail, or by the lake, and let the afternoon slow down under all that color. Grab a sweater, though, fall days cool off fast once the sun dips behind the trees.
