Hey Friends!
A quick THANK YOU to all of you out there who have attended an event or meeting at The Abbey at Otter Creek or stayed in our lodging or maybe come out for a tour. We are continually grateful for the support and kind words our fellow community businesses & supporters continue to share! Please keep them coming!! They truly sustain us!

We have some pretty deep personal & professional values here at the Abbey including; love, respect, kindness, acceptance, lifting up our fellow humans, just to name a few! In fact, the sisters who lived at the Abbey before us continue to inspire us with their unconditional love & prayers of support!

Have we experienced some social media trolling? Yep. Have we seen it happen to other business and community members? Yep, too.

Honestly, it hits hard, but then we remember those values. Those values that continue to lift us when things feel heavy or hard. Those values that guide how we conduct ourselves and they remind us that we’re all just humans trying to do the human thing.

So, my challenge for all YOU amazing humans out there – rather than criticizing or tearing down one another or our local businesses, let’s raise them up. Let’s tell them what they’re doing well, shout it out & celebrate it!

And, if you truly feel that you have some helpful feedback on how they can do it better, please share it privately. Remember, we’re all just a bunch of humans trying to do this human thing!!

There is something truly special about feeding people.

I've loved cooking since I was 12 years old. Long before The Abbey, long before catering, and long before I ever dreamed I would have the opportunity to cook professionally, I was happiest in the kitchen creating meals for the people I love.

Today, I get to live that dream every day as the Chef behind The Abbey Table by Michelle, and I couldn't be more grateful.

First, THANK YOU to everyone who ordered lasagna, strawberry pies, salads, and other Abbey Table favorites this past week. Your support means more than you know, and every order reminds me why I love what I do.
