To our remarkable guest chefs, featured businesses and w**e partners, thank you for sharing your talent, stories and passion. Your contributions made this series a celebration of culinary creativity and collaboration.

For our final evening, the spotlight belongs to two extraordinary talents at the heart of The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center: Chef de Cuisine Wells Selbe and Executive Chef Michael Whittaker.

Some meals stay with us long after the last bite.

When Peggy Bray’s granddaughter Alicia reached out to The Regency Room, she hoped to recreate a cherished memory: a favorite crab cake dinner from years past that Peggy still remembered with a smile.

Diane Speaks shared the request with General Manager Brian Wells, and Chef Wells Selbe and the team brought that beloved meal back to the table for one special evening.

“It’s rare these days we get to recreate memories,” Alicia wrote.
