What a wonderful tradition! ❤️

We were thrilled to welcome Henry and Maxine Bowman of Parsons, Tennessee, back to Hagy’s Catfish Hotel this Labor Day.

Henry and Maxine recently celebrated an incredible 69 years of marriage, and year after year, they make it a point to spend part of their Labor Day with us here on the Tennessee River.

It was truly our honor to have them. We visited many folks from Decatur County, where Parsons is located, and we love it! Couples like Henry and Maxine remind us that some of life’s best things are built over time — a loving marriage, cherished traditions, and a favorite place to come back to year after year.

Happy 69th Anniversary, Henry and Maxine! We hope to see you right back here next Labor Day. ❤️🐟

Nothing says a Southern summer evening quite like dinner at Hagy’s Catfish Hotel and a ride along the Tennessee River in a beautiful 1955 Ford Thunderbird. 🐟❤️🚘

Zach Bay and Nick Inman stopped by for a meal and then headed out in style—top down, open road, and one gorgeous classic T-Bird.

Good food, good friends, a classic car, and a summer evening on the river. Some things just never go out of style.

Yep. We figured Labor Day was no day to leave you hungry.

If you’re spending the day on the Tennessee River, around the lake, exploring Shiloh National Military Park, or just enjoying one last long summer weekend, come see us.

The Catfish Hotel will be OPEN this Monday for Labor Day.

Bring the family, bring your appetite, and we’ll have the hushpuppies hot and the catfish frying.

Sometimes even we break the rules. 😄

What a beautiful reason to gather! ❤️

Jimmy Tubbs celebrated his 92nd birthday surrounded by friends and family — including his four children, nine grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren!

There’s something special about seeing generations of a family come together around the table to celebrate a life well lived. At our spot on the river, we love being a place where families gather, laugh, celebrate milestones, and make memories that last for years to come.

What better way to celebrate 52 wonderful years with your sweetheart than with a special surprise from someone you love! Steve and Kay Weeks were treated to a Hagy’s Catfish Hotel gift card from their thoughtful niece in Missouri to take care of their anniversary meal. 🐟❤️

We always look forward to seeing Robin and Harry Lee’s vibrant smiles every Sunday! ❤️

After moving from Nashville to Adamsville years ago, Robin and Harry are preparing to return to Nashville to be closer to their sons and grandchildren. While we’re certainly going to miss seeing them each Sunday, we’re so happy for this special new chapter with their family!

Robin, former owner of Restormi Home Designing and Tempo Boutique, has been such a wonderful asset to the Downtown Events Alliance, helping bring energy and enthusiasm to the “Biggest Little Town in Tennessee!”

And Harry is making the most of his free time on the golf course! ⛳ He enjoys playing with a Christian golfing team and will be heading to Memphis this weekend for a golf tournament. We’re wishing him lots of luck!

Robin and Harry, you will certainly be missed at Hagy’s! Thank you for your friendship, your smiles, and for making us part of your Sunday tradition. We wish you many wonderful memories with your children and grandchildren as you begin this next chapter back in Nashville. ❤️🐟

Shiloh National Military Park has a great event coming up this Saturday, September 5!

Come out for the final cannon firing demonstrations of the season and experience the sights, sounds, and power of Civil War artillery in action. Demonstrations are scheduled for 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:00 PM — and admission is FREE.

And while you’re at Shiloh, make a day of it! Hagy’s Catfish Hotel is just a short drive away, so come see a little history and then join us for some hot hushpuppies, catfish, and Southern hospitality on the Tennessee River.
