Even work trips feel a little better when the fishing’s this good. 🎣

Grateful for guests who make Island View part of their travels — whether it’s for work, rest, or a little of both.

Fresh sheets, cozy quilts, and a better night’s sleep. 💤

This season we replaced both the queen master and guest room beds, making sure every corner of the cabin feels a little more like home.

Because good mornings start with good rest — especially when there’s a lake waiting outside your window.

There’s something special about seeing it from above — the shape of Island Lake, the little island in the middle, and the winding shoreline that makes it all feel tucked away.

Island Lake covers about 530 acres and reaches depths up to 45 feet — big enough to explore, but still quiet enough to feel like your own piece of the Northwoods.

We’re proud to call this stretch of shoreline home — right across from the island that inspired our name.

It’s the kind of event that makes you wish October lasted just a little longer.

Fall up north has a treat in store — the Stone Lake Cranberry Festival is back! 🍂

Join in the fun and tradition in Stone Lake on the first Saturday in October for one of the Northwoods’ most loved traditions: 300+ vendors, cranberry marsh tours, a lively parade, arts & crafts, live music, and all the small-town charm you’ll want for your fall getaway.

Stay just minutes away at Island View Lake Home and make a full weekend of it — lake mornings, festival afternoons, fireside evenings.

You don’t have to move fast to make it meaningful.

Sometimes, the slowest weekends are the ones you remember longest.

Big news for lake days! ☀️

We added a pontoon, a tube for towing (+ air pump), and a new kayak — so whether you’re cruising, paddling, or just floating, you’ve got options.

Bring your sunscreen, your favorite playlist, and your favorite captain or someone who doesn’t mind taking the first turn at the oar.

Good fishing, sunshine, and cousins laughing on the lily pad — that’s the kind of memory that sticks.

Ever wonder where “Jack Pine Savage Days” got its name?

The Jack Pine is a Northwoods original — hardy, a little wild, and able to thrive where others can’t.

Just like life up here.

A Jack Pine (Pinus banksiana) is a rugged, native pine tree that thrives in sandy soil and cold northern climates — especially across Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada.

It’s known for its toughness — growing in places where most trees can’t. The trunk often twists and leans, giving it that scrappy “Northwoods” character.

Jack Pines are also famous for their serotinous cones, which only open to release seeds when exposed to heat — usually from a forest fire or intense sun. That resilience is part of what makes them such a Northwoods symbol: strong, persistent, and deeply rooted.

Fun fact: The endangered Kirtland’s warbler nests almost exclusively in young Jack Pine forests, making these trees crucial for wildlife too.
