Just a few minutes from the cabin, Spooner comes alive every August for Jack Pine Savage Days — a weekend packed with small-town charm, live music, and that classic Northwoods energy.
☀️ Morning: Start the day with the Fireman’s Pancake Breakfast or join the PowerPlay 5K through town. If you’re not an early riser, wander over to the Farmer’s Market or stop by the Crazy Days Art + Craft Fair on Walnut Street.
🎨 Midday: The kids will love the Inflatable Fun Zone and Bookmobile crafts on Front Street, while you browse local vendors and grab a bite from Vera’s Snack Shack or the Boy Scouts’ food booth.
🚗 Afternoon: Catch the Car, Truck & Bike Show at Railroad Park, or sign up for a little friendly competition in the Bean Bag Tournament or Sand Volleyball Tourney.
🎶 Evening: As the sun sets, the music starts — live bands take the stage at the Lodge Hotel tent, with Blake Johnson and Th3rd L3vel headlining this year. Stay late for good tunes, cold drinks, and that laid-back Spooner vibe.
It’s one of those weekends that remind you why we love it up here — simple fun, friendly faces, and memories that stick around long after the summer ends.
