Deep in the Northwoods with a stack of stories.

The skylight is open, the woods are quiet, and my TBR (To-Be-Read) pile is officially reaching "hazardous heights." There’s just something about reading in the yurt that makes every chapter hit a little different.

As a proud Spooner alum, seeing the Rails heading to State fills my heart with pride. Softball was my game, and it still holds a special place in my life. The lessons learned on that field—hard work, teamwork, resilience, and heart—have stayed with me long after the final inning.

To this team: enjoy every pitch, every inning, and every moment. You’ve already made your community proud. Now go play your game and leave it all on the field.
