One of our absolute favorite parts of this job happens after our guests check out.

The guestbook notes. The Google reviews. The little windows into how people actually experienced this place when they were here — and this one made us laugh out loud and then immediately put a hand over our hearts.

A man. A robe. A cup of coffee. Our porch. Not a care in the world.

If that is not the highest compliment The Stacy Mansion has ever received, we genuinely do not know what is.

This is exactly what we set out to create when we opened these doors. Not just a beautiful place to sleep, but a place where you exhale the moment you walk in and somehow forget to be stressed for a whole weekend. Wednesday, August 5 | Painting with Pals | 6–8 PM
Grab your favorite person or your whole crew and come paint with us. Guided by the incredibly talented Tracie Wood of Art & Soul Painting Events, you will spend two hours creating a wood sign painting you will actually want to hang on your wall. No artistic experience needed — Tracie walks you through every single step. Just show up, paint, and have a really great time.

Wednesday, August 12 | Garden & Sound Escape | 6–8 PM
Our beloved mid-week summer series continues and the gardens are absolutely at their peak right now. Wander through with a snack in hand, take in everything that is blooming, and then settle in for a 60 minute sound bath that will carry you beautifully through the rest of the week. Only 15 spots available — do not wait on this one.

Thursday, August 27 | Book Bingo with Novella Bound | 6–8 PM
This one is for the book lovers and the game night enthusiasts — and honestly anyone who loves a good evening out. Join us in the stunning Wealthy Hall on our second floor for a one of a kind literary game night hosted by Novella Bound. Two hours of friendly competition, bookish community, and a whole lot of fun in one of Tecumseh's most beautiful historic settings.

Today the gardens of The Stacy Mansion were filled with the most beautiful energy — and it was all for one very deserving woman.

Happy Birthday to the wonderful Nanci, who celebrated her decades on this earth today exactly the way she should — surrounded by her closest women friends and family, in a gorgeous garden setting, on a day that could not have been more perfect if we had ordered it ourselves.

The spread was absolutely beautiful. 3 Dudes for Dinner took care of the catering and did not disappoint, and desserts by Debbie? We are still thinking about them.

But more than the food, more than the flowers, more than the gorgeous day — what struck us most was looking around and seeing just how many people showed up to celebrate this woman. That kind of love does not happen by accident. It is earned. And Nanci has clearly earned every single bit of it.

Some of you may know Nanci as the incredibly talented woman who helps us bring the Mansion to life during the holiday season with her decorating magic. We are so lucky to have her — and today it was our turn to feel lucky just to witness her being so beautifully celebrated.

Cheers to you, Nanci. We love you dearly and hope today was everything you deserved and more.

Here is to many, many more decades.

This week we are raising our most elegant teacup to the wonderful group who joined us for our quarterly Afternoon Tea this past Sunday.

What an afternoon it was.

We sipped our way through two of The British Tea Garden's best selling teas — the Sweet Sin and the Blue Butterfly — and every single sip was as lovely as it sounds. And the treats? Cranberry orange scones, lemon tarts, and profiteroles that disappeared far too quickly. Alice and Gemma, we love providing another opportunity to share your creations.

There is something about an afternoon tea that slows the world down in exactly the right way. Good tea, beautiful treats, and company who knows how to savor a moment — it is a combination we will never get tired of.

Each guest went home with a Lady Freewardley's Spill the Tea sticker and an embroidery kit to tuck finish. A little piece of the afternoon to carry with them.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this such a special afternoon. Our quarterly teas are quickly becoming one of our favorite traditions at the Mansion — and we already cannot wait for the next one in October.

We are still smiling.

This past weekend, The Stacy Mansion was home to the most wonderful group of women for our very first Women's Sun & Sips Weekend Getaway.

It started exactly the way a girls weekend should. Kiddie pools in the backyard, cocktails in hand, fillung our bellies with tacos, and the kind of easy laughter that happens when the right women end up in the same place at the same time. Friday night set the tone perfectly and the weekend only got better from there.

Saturday started off slow with breakfast, free time, and a nice little lettuce-free lunch. Then we loaded up and hit the road for a tour of three of our favorite local wineries. Flying Otter kicked things off beautifully, then Cherry Creek surprised us in the best possible way when our favorite taco truck, The Taco Truck of Clinton, showed up like the delicious plot twist we did not know we needed. And Chateau Aeronautique closed out the evening with pizza and an incredible musical tribute to Fleetwood Mac by The Seven Wonders.

Sunday brought one more beautiful breakfast together before hugs, farewells, and the drive home with full hearts and happy memories.

To every woman who joined us this weekend — thank you. You made this everything we hoped it would be and more. We cannot wait to do it all over again.

For those who missed it - we plan to do these twice a year. A cozy winter escape and another summer sun and sips getaway. We hope to see you at the next one!

If you're interested in getting in on some of the fun... we have 8 tickets available this Saturday for our wine tour — first come, first served — and we would love for you to join us.

Here is how it works:

Full Wine Tour | $100 per ticket
Meet us at The Stacy Mansion at 2 PM and spend the afternoon and evening with us at Flying Otter, Cherry Creek Winery, and Chateau Aeronautique. Your first flight at the first stop is included, and the night closes out with pizza and a live Fleetwood Mac tribute performance by Seven Wonders at the final stop. We should return to the Mansion around 11:30 PM.

Concert Only | $20 per ticket
Can't do the full tour but still want in on the show? Meet us at Chateau Aeronautique for the Seven Wonders Fleetwood Mac tribute concert. We will not provide food or transpo, just the ticket and a seat with us.

Eight spots. First come, first served.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ron Massanari, beloved father of our own Danielle, who left this world today.

Ron was many things to many people — but to Danielle, he was a pillar. A constant. The kind of presence that makes you braver and steadier just by being there. For the past thirteen months, Danielle has poured herself into caring for Ron and her mom with the same love, dedication, and quiet strength that she brings to everything she does. We are in awe of her.

Ron's connection to The Stacy Mansion runs deeper than most know. From the very earliest seedling of an idea, through the long road to our grand opening, and through every milestone and hard day since — Ron was there. Cheering us on. Believing in us. His support of this place was an extension of his support of his daughter, and we felt it every step of the way.

The Merlot Suite here at The Stacy Mansion bears the Massanari name — and it always will. A small but permanent reminder that Ron's belief in this dream helped make it real.

Please join us in wrapping Danielle and her entire family in love and comfort during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Ron. We are so grateful you were ours for a while.

Tomorrow night. The gardens. Two hours that are entirely yours.

There are still a few last minute tickets available for our Garden & Sound Escape tomorrow, Wednesday July 15th from 6 to 8 PM — and the gardens right now are absolutely worth showing up for.

Every single week something new is blooming, growing, and changing out there. Tomorrow night you will get to wander through all of it at your own pace, snack in hand, with nowhere else to be and nothing else on the agenda.

And then we settle in for a 60 minute sound bath to wash away whatever the week has thrown at you so far and set you up beautifully for everything still to come.

There is something so deeply satisfying about finding exactly the right thing in exactly the right place.

One of our favorite things about being rooted right here in Tecumseh is the ability to walk down the street and stumble upon something perfect. And that is exactly what happened with our newest porch addition — a pair of ferns that could not have found a better home if they tried.

Thank you to Antiques & Vintage On The Boulevard for always having something worth stopping for. You have a gift for curating pieces that feel like they were just waiting for the right person to notice them — and we notice every single time.

The porch is looking prettier than ever, the ferns are thriving, and we are reminded once again why shopping local will always be our first choice.
