We are a home grown resort in Eastern Langlade County that offers
lodging, camping, and pub specializing in pizzas with a great up north atmosphere.

At Bear Paw Outdoors we are dedicated to adventure and fun in the great outdoors. We underwent new ownership in February of 2015. We are located in a premium location near Wisconsin’s premier Wolf River, a perfect place for a new outdoor adventure! We have lodging and a pub/restaurant. Our accommodations are reasonable and clean and our food is delicious! We work with Peshtigo River Outdoor Learning Center with kayak instruction. Please contact them for any whitewater kayak instruction questions or courses.

After the devastating loss of our fourplex to a fire, we faced a tough decision about whether to continue with our planned trip to Norway.

With so much uncertainty surrounding the future of Bear Paw, it wasn’t an easy choice. Ultimately, we decided to take a little time away to clear our minds and recharge before tackling the challenges ahead.

We’re currently in Hammerfest, Norway, where we were fortunate enough to witness the incredible Northern Lights!

Sometimes even in the midst of difficult times, life reminds us just how beautiful it can be.

We wanted to let everyone know that early this morning, our fourplex at Bear Paw Adventure Resort was destroyed by a fire.

Thankfully, the building was not occupied at the time, and there were no injuries. At this time, it is believed that the fire was caused by a lightning strike.

We are currently assessing the damage and figuring out our next steps. We will share updates as more information becomes available.

We would like to thank all the firefighters and first responders who came out to help. While losing the building is unfortunate, we are most thankful that everyone is safe.

🍂 The pub is officially closed for the season, but our lodging is open year-round! ❄️

All cabins are heated and have bathrooms and showers. (Bunkhouse has no plumbing.)

We want to thank everyone for the great turnout tonight and we greatly appreciate everyone that stopped in this year. Based on our ingredients that we have left after an unexpectedly busy night, tomorrow (Saturday) will be our last day open at the bar for the season. We’re offering $5 one topping 12” pizzas during our normal hours while supplies last tomorrow (Saturday) dine in only.
