Imagine waking up to a view of over 100 buffalo below your suite 😍

Just below Misava Safari Camp - the buffalo herds continue to gather on a regular basis! As the rest of the bush dries out, this area is a small pocket of greenery fuelled by the mighty Klaserie river.

The only question now is.... Do you go on game drive or simply enjoy the view of wildlife from the lodge? We can never resist the urge to explore 😅

They may be much larger than wild dogs, but if a young hyena dares to wander up to a pack by itself - it will soon learn how fast the tables can turn!

A quick lesson dealt by the adults of the pack 😅

Just listen to those excited chirps at the start 😍 the youngsters are begging for food from the adults (which is likely why the hyena is hanging around too - hoping to find scraps)

Spring has arrived and with it Arbour week 🌳🍃

To celebrate, we're busy planting 8 native trees around the wild gardens at Misava - one to represent each department 🥰

We can't wait to watch them grow 👏

"That's a CHEETAH everybody" 😍😂

Even Guide Eden can't believe his luck this week! Guest Joe Pietersen captured the incredible moment they came across a male cheetah close to Misava lodge 👏

These highly specialised carnivores are rare to spot due to their low numbers in the wild. This is especially true in the Klaserie as, though our diverse terrain favours lions and leopards (and breathtaking views!), cheetahs need extremely flat, open areas to hunt.

That just makes it even more special when one pops in the say hello!

A fantastic sighting captured by past guests Moments in Between 😍

"We sat and watched as this magnificent leopard fed on his kill.

No safari traffic. No voices. No noise around us. Just the sounds of the bush and the incredible privilege of having this moment almost entirely to ourselves.

There are sightings you photograph, and there are sightings you simply sit quietly and take in.

What a blessing to witness the power and beauty of a leopard like this."
