Two hyenas joined us for morning coffee. πŸΎβ˜•

We had stopped at a waterhole for a quiet coffee break when two hyenas casually wandered in and decided to cool off right in front of us.

We’d been there first, but they clearly weren’t bothered by our presence giving our guests an incredible, up-close experience as they relaxed in the water.

This young male was resting quietly in a freshly burnt patch of bush, surrounded by the rich colours of the African winter landscape.

Blackened earth, fallen leaves and golden tones framed an unforgettable sighting. A beautiful reminder of the resilience and wild beauty of the landscapes that lions call home.

Happy International Lion Day. 🌍🦁

Have you ever seen a giraffe chewing on a bone? πŸ¦’πŸ¦΄

It might look strange at first, but this behaviour is called osteophagia.

Herbivores occasionally chew old bones to supplement important minerals like calcium and phosphorus that may be lacking in their diet.

Although well documented, it's one of those fascinating behaviours that's rarely witnessed firsthand, making encounters like this incredibly special.

Everyone comes looking for the predators.

Yet it's often the quieter moments that leave the deepest impression.

A giraffe pausing after a drink. Long eyelashes catching the morning light. A silent reminder that Africa's beauty isn't reserved for its hunters.

The bush rewards those who take the time to notice.

πŸ–€ Winter is leopard season... and the sightings have been nothing short of spectacular.

There's something special about the African winter. Cooler temperatures, thinner vegetation, and increased daytime activity make it one of the very best times of year to encounter Africa's most elusive big cat.

We still have limited availability at the end of July so if you've been thinking about a safari, now is the perfect opportunity.

Come and experience unforgettable leopard sightings, crisp winter mornings, golden afternoons, and the magic of the bush.
