Two hyenas joined us for morning coffee. 🐾☕

We had stopped at a waterhole for a quiet coffee break when two hyenas casually wandered in and decided to cool off right in front of us.

We’d been there first, but they clearly weren’t bothered by our presence giving our guests an incredible, up-close experience as they relaxed in the water.

This young male was resting quietly in a freshly burnt patch of bush, surrounded by the rich colours of the African winter landscape.

Blackened earth, fallen leaves and golden tones framed an unforgettable sighting. A beautiful reminder of the resilience and wild beauty of the landscapes that lions call home.

Have you ever seen a giraffe chewing on a bone? 🦒🦴

It might look strange at first, but this behaviour is called osteophagia.

Herbivores occasionally chew old bones to supplement important minerals like calcium and phosphorus that may be lacking in their diet.

Although well documented, it's one of those fascinating behaviours that's rarely witnessed firsthand, making encounters like this incredibly special.
