Not your usual Railway Carriage

It’s an old goods carriage we’ve converted into a little off-grid stay for two, here on our family farm in Llanthony.

You’ve got your own kitchen, bathroom, outdoor space and pizza oven.

There are walks straight from the door, mountains in every direction and very little phone signal.

Quite a good place to lose track of time, really.

Walk straight from your door, head up onto Hatterrall Ridge, follow the paths through the Llanthony Valley and see where your feet take you.

Miles of walking, plenty of fresh air and some great views along the way.

And when you’ve had enough exploring?

A cosy place to come back to, put your feet up and plan tomorrow’s adventure.

Shower and toilet - we can’t have you going outside to the loo 🙈

Pull your boots on, head out of the door and walk straight into the Llanthony Valley and the Black Mountains.

Go for an hour. Go for the day. Head up high or stay down in the valley.

Then back to Castaway for boots off and kettle on.

Simple really.
