It's another busy Friday here at The Halfway!

🥖 Fresh deliveries! Our lovely fresh bread, cakes and Welsh cakes have already arrived this morning! We'll be collecting more goodies from our local butcher and dairy later this afternoon, ready for the weekend.

🌺 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal – We've got a beautiful selection of poppies, pins, bags and other lovely items available to buy. Pop in and have a browse!

❤️ Cash only for Royal British Legion items, please, with all money going straight into the donation tin on the bar.

🎶 12–2pm | Dementia Friendly Session
Our doors are open for anyone living with dementia or memory loss. Come along for a relaxed, friendly afternoon with live music and a warm welcome.

We'd love you to come and join us for our monthly Dementia & Memory Loss Friendly Friday! 💜

Our sessions offer a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment for people living with dementia or memory loss, along with their families, friends and carers.

☕ A friendly, supportive atmosphere
💜 Small groups and a relaxed setting
🎶 Gentle live music, with requests welcome
🍰 Affordable refreshments and food
😊 A chance to chat, socialise and enjoy some company

There's no pressure to join in with anything – just come along, enjoy the music and feel at home.

🚪❤️ CAN OUR LOVELY COMMUNITY HELP? ❤️🚪

We're on the hunt for some patio doors to help us make our marquee warm and cosy for winter! 🔥🍂

As many of you know, our marquee gives us some fantastic extra space for gatherings, events and community activities. Now the colder weather is here, we've put the sides back on, but we'd love to add some patio doors to keep the warmth in!

We'll be building a frame to fit the doors into the opening shown in the photos, so they don't need to be the full width or height of the space!

We've been searching Marketplace without much luck, so thought we'd ask our wonderful community!

🤞 Does anyone have any old patio doors they no longer need, or know someone replacing theirs?

They don't need to be fancy! We're happy to give something a new lease of life, and ideally we're looking for free or very low cost, as our budget is rather limited.

Perhaps you know a builder, someone renovating, or just have a set tucked away somewhere?

Every little improvement helps us make The Halfway an even better space for everyone to enjoy. ❤️

❤️ WOW… WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE NIGHT AT THE HALFWAY! ❤️

We are honestly blown away by the fantastic turnout for tonight’s Harvest Auction in aid of Wales Air Ambulance! 🚁❤️

The pub was absolutely packed, the atmosphere was brilliant, and we had an unbelievable number of items generously donated for auction!

And the best bit? Together, we have raised OVER £1,500!!! 🎉👏

I haven't got the exact figure in front of me tonight, but I'll confirm the final total tomorrow.

We'll be taking the money collected into the Wales Air Ambulance shop this week and will share the official donation receipt with you all once it's been counted.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to every single person who donated an item, baked something, made something, offered a promise, came along, placed a bid or simply supported us. Every single one of you helped make tonight such a huge success. ❤️

And of course, a very special thank you to our fantastic auctioneer Robert Meadmore, who helped make the evening such brilliant entertainment! 👏

Nights like tonight really do remind us just how lucky we are to have such an incredible community around The Halfway. The generosity, laughter and community spirit were just phenomenal.

We genuinely cannot wait to hand this money over to such an amazing charity, helping to support the lifesaving work of Wales Air Ambulance. 🚁

Tonight's auction will be CASH ONLY, as unfortunately we don't have the facilities to take card payments for auction items.

All money raised will go directly into our Wales Air Ambulance collection pot, ready to be taken into their charity shop.
