A huge thank you to our fabulous friends Moni and Tom Brunker who visited us at the end of the season.... both, true to their lovely nature helped us immensely with clearing of the overgrowth around the tree plantations and getting the tiling project of the shower cubicles well underway. Thank you again 💓 we really appreciate it and will miss you both.
Here's Moni Brunker and Tom As hammering thier coins into our lucky tree stump..... a tradition we started on the day we opened 5 years ago!

This is how you might remember the shower cubicles at Bonnie.... Yes by normal campsite standards , some might even say exceptional.
However Mrs Bonnie wanted an upgrade so me and my mate Tom As decided to rip them out and tile the whole cubicles from top to bottom, still a bit more to do but we've got most done and very pleased with the result..... thats lush that is!

Morning Bonnie campers...... still no sight of the salmon but with the heavy rain last night the river level is slowly rising and conditions improving we are hopeful they will soon start thier run upstream.

Last walk of the evening for Libby the campsite lurcher.... lots of these beautiful toads near the river. Although we've begun cutting back the undergrowth around the trees planted over the last few years, we've left a wide band of tall grass and undergrowth that follows the burn to the river for them to safely navigate between the river and the margins of the campsite. If your walking through the campsite please be mindful of where you're putting your feet!

Well folks.... this is it, our last evening of the season. I wanted to take the time to thank each and every one of you who have camped with us during the 2026 season. It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome new faces as well as the many returning faces...... Our 5th season was blessed (for the most part) with exceptionally warm weather and we hope for more of the same during the 2027 season and tomorrow we waste no time getting started on the first of many projects to improve upon the campsite..... once our lovely guests have left.
We have always trumpeted the fact that we are a campsite owned and operated by campers for campers. That means our wardens have always been highly experienced and talented with many years of camping under their belts. With that in mind I also want to pay my gratitude and send our best wishes to Mark and Debbie Hugill, this seasons wardens...... they have been nothing short of outstanding, resourceful, hard working, friendly, approachable and made Bonnie all the better for it. Both have retired (though not from camping)and we wish them the very best in thier new adventures....... please join us in thanking the real stars of Bonchester Bridge Camping & Caravan Park
