Flowers are in their beauty.
Birds are on the wing.

It’s certainly felt like summer here this week in and with a busy bankholiday ahead, the park and its villages are both alive and welcoming.

May is a beautiful month for visiting the area with warmer, longer days, many events and activities going on and not forgetting the bluebells 🩵 💙

Our cottages are available for 2nt to 7nt stays, close to all the amenities and attractions and ready to welcome you.

Earth Day 🌎

Today marks Earth Day and here in the Lake District it’s especially meaningful because this National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site—recognized for its natural beauty, cultural landscape and its long history of sustainable farming.

When visiting the Lake District you too can play your part - Environmental progress is built through everyday action.
“Every Action Counts”. 🫶

🌎 Leave No Trace - take your litter and dog poo home with you.
🌎 Follow Countryside Code -
Do not block gates or road access
Dogs must be on leads anywhere there may be livestock
Leave gates as you find them.
Do not feed livestock, horses or wild life.
🌎 Plan sustainable travel options-
shuttle buses, to boats, bikes and trains.
🌎 Camp responsibly- using designated sites or with permission of land owner.
Fires and barbecues are not permitted in our National Park unless on private land.
