I suspect from the DM’s I’ve had that this apartment is going to be so popular when I open for bookings next year. The view from this balcony is just stunning ❤️

I finally made it to the tonight and it didn’t disappoint. As I opened the snaffle bit door handle (horsey friends will know) I sensed we were in for a treat.

We had the Sunday roast which was very good and priced at £25.95. The children’s meals were £9.50 and are such good value.

I spoke to Dani Bushby who owns the venue with her Mum Suzie and she was very welcoming. She’d been working hard all day since breakfast and seems really hands on. In my 26 year hotel career the best places have a hands on owner!

She said “my staff see me working hard which sets a good example”.

I can’t wait to go back to try the usual menu.

My partner Komi went down to Coble Landing for sunrise this morning 🌅

The sunrise from Filey Beach House will have been insane today. The sunrise and sunsets are way better in winter, January is actually the best time to see these.
